Trinity County Waterworks District #1

Timekeeping that already knows Policy #28-25.

Monday workweek. Comp time at 1.5×. Two hours of CTO for each Saturday and Sunday of weekend duty. Payday the Wednesday after the third Tuesday. Built for Hayfork — not a restaurant punch clock.

Policy #28-25

CTO at 1.5× for overtime, 2 hours per weekend-duty day, 240-hour overtime cap. Weekend-duty CTO may go beyond the cap.

Monday 12:00 a.m. workweek

Overtime after 40 hours actually worked. Leave does not count. Weekend duty is scheduled Saturday and Sunday, called in or not.

The payday the Board cannot delay

Wednesday after the third Tuesday. Direct deposit that afternoon. A cancelled Board meeting does not hold payroll.

What the two documents require

  • Policy #28-25. Comp time at 1.5× for overtime hours; 2 hours of CTO per Saturday and Sunday of weekend duty; 240-hour cap on overtime CTO only; cash only after the cap (not a punch-code choice); unused CTO cashed at separation. Employees clock Regular — overtime is computed after 40 hours worked.
  • The acknowledgment. Workweek Monday–Sunday. Payday Wednesday after the third Tuesday. Leave is not hours worked. Sign before overtime is banked. Report every hour, including meals and unapproved overtime.
  • Still the FLSA. Special districts are public agencies. Daily Labor Code overtime and IWC meal penalties do not apply. Cal/OSHA heat rest and paid sick leave do.
  • Not legal advice. The Board-adopted policy and the signed acknowledgment control. Headgate is the ledger that applies them.
